Chicken Soup for the Mother and Daughter Soul has sold over 600,000 copies and was on the NY Times bestseller list for 9 weeks. It’s time for another. Time to celebrate Mother’s Day and Every Day with a new collection of stories to inspire, heal, challenge, teach and share love and wisdom.

We’re looking for inspirational, true stories, 1000 words or less, that will make readers laugh, cry, jump for joy, find a moment of peace, or just say “wow.” Stories should be positive, universal, and non-controversial. The “message” should be evident without preaching. No essays, commentaries, tributes, letters, philosophical or biographical pieces will be accepted.
Please submit as many stories as you have, whether original or a favorite from magazines, newspapers, or other sources. For each story selected in the book, a 50-word biography will be included about the author and a permission fee of $200 will be paid.

If you have a story that meets the guidelines and would like to submit it you may use one of two methods. You can send your story as an attachment to an e-mail in Microsoft Word format (most word processors have the option to "save as" a Word document) to one of the authors, Didi Firman at dfirman@comcast.net. Please include all contact information at the top of your story, rather than in the body of the e-mail. Include your Name, address, phone numbers (cell & FAX if available) and your e-mail address.
You may also submit stories directly on the Chicken Soup web site, to do so, go to http://www.chickensoup.com/ and on the left side of the page under "Share with us" click on "Submit a story" fill out the required information and under "Step 2: Story information", you will find a pull down menu entitled "Chicken Soup for…", scroll down until you come to Mother and Daughter Soul II and then complete the information requested on the form.
